ok so my friend is a newb panda... and so to get him through newby stuff i made a newb shadow hunter so that it was atleast a little challenge to do like AQ and stuff.

i talked to a guy who said SH no good and i got bored so i mobved to warlock

I actually didn't want to answer to that crap, but ok:
-the item heal ability needs mana and the manacost/heal isn't as good as if you use the normal heal abilities. This means it's better to use the spell in emergencies. (sure if you don't have spelldamage, then the item heal ability is better, but normally you don't have that item if you don't have a high spelldamage... ^^)
And priests damage spells aren't that good. In contrary to you, I can test those things in the editor. I know exactly how much damage the priest is able to do.
(This is for all people... give it up, you can't see how much damage the heroes can deal... Even if you think you have a good sense for it. Even I can't see it just by playing the game. Also I get often surprised when I test it seriosly.
I would have to add a "damage meter" so it would show to you all damage that your hero delt.)
But why haven't I added something where you can test your delt damage yet?
Because many stupid people would jump to wrong conclusions if they compair the results.
And they would always exagerate! If one hero deals 6000 damage in 120 seconds and the other one only 5700, then they start to complain how unfair that is .... and that the other hero is useless! (and so on)
And of course they wouldn't be clever enough to think of other things too. Maybe the hero that delt less damage had also stunned the boss or reduced his armor , or or or

I mean a good example for this are those people who compair the priest's heal spell and the totem of the shaman.
= OOOOOooooo! The shaman's totem heals more then the priest's heal spell, so the shaman is IMBA!!!! you can' play a priest anymore! He's crap!
They exagerate and they don't think about other things... (like for example that the priest has a higher mana regeneration, that he is a distance fighter, that he has other nice abilities ...)
You can't just compair one single thing!

and do u recommend a frost / arcane mage or what? cause fire is more dmg but slowing enemy is also helpful

for the mage you can skill many combinations

in pvp you can sniper or lame heros really nice down, and fast, as mage you live so or so not long in the pvp (when you dont have more than one healer)
